Five years in the making, Song Hye Kyo's limited edition photobook Moment has enough glamour for several photobooks. The actress worked with top photographers from around the world, including Helena Christensen, Jihyuk Park, KT Kim, Jean-Francois Carly, and Peter Lindbergh, to create a one-of-a-kind pictorial that's equally global in reach. The hefty photobook features pages upon pages of gorgeous photos of Song Hye Kyo in New York, Buenos Aires, Amsterdam, Paris, and Tuscany. Limited to 2,000 copies, Moment Song Hye Kyo also comes with two making-of DVDs."Fetish" is feature debut of the director Soopum Sohn, who was invited to PIFF and Cannes with his short [Fish in the Sea Is Not Thirsty] in 2000. The film has been noted since its early production stage starring the celebrated Korean actress Song Hye-kyo. In the upper class suburbs of New Jersey, Korean-America! n Peter is starting a new life with his mysterious bride, Sookhy, whom he met through a marriage broker in Korea. She chose this foreign country to avoid the power of shamanism, but her fate doesn't let her run way from it. The film portraits church-based Korean communities in states, where the traditional values are rather ignored by American pragmatism and conflict arises between two different cultures-orient and occident. The two cultures get close and wrecked, just as Sookhy tries to be American woman imitating her neighbor Julie. "Fetish" surprises and confuses the audience with its complexities of cultural context and religious madness.Hephaestus Books represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. We belie! ve books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge. This particular book is a collaboration focused on South Korean female models.Yun-woo (Song Hye Kyo) had a happy life as a child but her childhood was interrupted by the death of her father who was a cop. her mother, who owns a bakery falls in love with someone else, gets remarried, and gives birth to a half-sister to yun-woo, but her mother dies from an illness and yun-woo now finds herself living with a step father and a half sister. yun-woo who loved her father and mother dearly begins to hate love because it has brought nothing but tragedy to them. Min-ho (Ryu Seung Beom) is the son of a clothe-shop owner who has his own identity issues to deal with, but his father was a colleague of young-woo's father and min-ho has grown up alongside yun-woo. though he loves her, he is not ready to profess his love toward her since he knows she is not ready for it and she needs him as her friend. But eun-sup (Jo Hyun Jae) shows up in their life and everything is changed. eun-sup's parents divorced early on and he also has a negative attitude toward love... however meeting yun-woo challenges everything he has believed until now.Broadcasting station, especially television drama production, is often called as the core of desire and materialism. TV station is the place of envy for many people, but they also criticize it as the place where unethical thoughts are generalized. However, those who work in drama production team are not different from us; they are common people who need love and care just like others. Most of Korean dramas are focused on family problems and troubled relationships between lovers. However, for the moderners, workplace is where they spend most of their time. If one fails to build decent relationships with others in his workplace, it would be hard to read his life as a success. "Worlds Within" will bring out the stories of drama production staffs; ! the warm, touching stories of their love and life. This digital document is an article from Ear, Nose and Throat Journal, published by Thomson Gale on October 1, 2007. The rivalry between two experienced hoteliers sparks in the Hotel of Seoul when former Head Manager Han Tai-Jun (Kim Seung-Woo) who has returned from the States to restore his position in the Hotel confronts Shin Dong-Hyuk (Bae Yong-Joon), an expert in mergers and acquisitions. While regaining the lost splendor of the Hotel, the two career-minded hoteliers not only fall into a power struggle, but also into love tangles with Seo Jin-Young (Song Yoon-A) and Kim Yun-Hee (Song Hye-Kyo).

After the sudden death of Seoul Hotel,,Chairman Choi, customer service manager Seo Jin-Young goes to the US to ask former top hotel staff Han Tai-Jun to take over all hotel operations. Tai-Jun accepts but unexpectedly stumbles into ho! tel acquisition expert Shin Dong-Hyuk, who is hired by Enterpriser Kim to help take over the hotel.

Dong-Hyuk and Tai-Jun are not only rivals for the hotel, they are both in love with Jin-Young. Dong-Hyuk is head over heels in love with Jin-Young, while Tai-Jun? heart has always been with his ex-love and colleague. Jin-Young herself has mixed feelings about this romantic triangle. Things become more complicated when the wealthy Kim Yun-Hee falls in love with Tai-Jun.

What will be their ultimate desire? Love? Career?Bi and Song Hye Gyo made a very fun-loving couple that couldn't stop getting at each other's throats. Every time they wanted to say something nice to each other they ended up saying things completely opposite to what they really meant! Throughout this drama, they continually quarrel with each other because of their stubborn selves. Han Ji Eun had lost her parents at a young age and was living in the house that her father had built and that s! he had been living in all her life. Because of her "friends" s! he is gi ven the opportunity to go to China. This seemed innocent enough, but really, her friends had gotten themselves in a financial crisis, so they felt that after they got her out of the country they could sell her house and pay them off. Not knowing this, Ji Eun goes to China and ends up not having a place to stay. She goes to the hotel - her friends claimed to have gotten her a room - and finds that they had not gotten a room for her. Fortunately she runs into Yu Min Hyuk and is given a room. Meanwhile... Lee Young Jea is a famous rising star in Korea that has a real attitude problem. He is given a film role that is located in China and goes there to fulfill this task. While in the airplane he is put in the seat next to Ji Eun. After Ji Eun gets home she finds that all her stuff has been taken out and that someone new was moving in. In rage she goes to find her friends, but is unsuccessful. After this she goes back to the house to find that the person who had moved in was none ! other than Lee Young Jea. Because Ji Eun did not have a place to go Young Jea lets her stay on one condition... She had to be his housemaid. This is what brings me to the other details. While they live together they begin to develop feelings towards each other but to try to avoid them they begin to fight and find ways of insulting each other. The Limited Edition included 30 discs + Photobook Autumn in My Heart, Winter Sonata, Summer Scent and Spring Waltz. Factory Girl (Unrated)

  • (Drama) "Factory Girl" tells the story of the rise and fall of the original "IT GIRL" Edie Sedgwick. When Edie meets famed artist Andy Warhol, she is thrust into a life of glamour, parties and ultimately tragedy. (Drama) "Factory Girl" tells the story of the rise and fall of the original "IT GIRL" Edie Sedgwick. When Edie meets famed artist Andy Warhol, she is thrust into a life of glamour, parties and ultimately…tragedy. The lovely face of Sienna Miller fills in for luminous but tragic 1960s icon Edie Sedgwick, the child of wealth and privilege who found brief delight but eventual destruction in the fabled Factory of Pop artist Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce). Factory Girl begins with Sedgwick as a naive art student who comes to New York City seeking freedom from her troubled family, j! ust as Warhol was surrounding himself with oddballs, sycophants, and drug addicts. The eager girl briefly becomes Warhol's favorite and the center of the city's attention, but when she falls into an affair with 'The Musician' (the only slightly ambiguous depiction of a certain nasal-voiced rock star, played by Hayden Christensen, Shattered Glass), Warhol is stricken with jealousy. Factory Girl wants to paint Warhol as the villain in this story of innocence corrupted, but the casting undercuts the movie's moral. Miller, though pretty and capable, never takes us under Sedgwick's skin, and Christensen's performance is one-note and clumsy. But Pearce's Warhol fascinates; it's a sneaky, stealthy performance, predatory yet passive, hiding a million neuroses beneath a cunningly vapid facade. Whenever Pearce is on-screen, Factory Girl sparkles; when he's not--despite abundant views of Miller's and Christensen's attractive naked flesh in the "uncut unrated" vers! ion--the movie loses its fizz. Also featuring Mena Suvari (! American Beauty), Jimmy Fallon (Fever Pitch), and Illeana Douglas (Grace of My Heart). --Bret Fetzer

Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) is a generous and loyal pal to her engaged best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson). But after celebrating her 30th birthday, perpetual good girl Rachel unexpectedly ends up in the arms of Dex (Colin Egglesfield), the guy she’s had a crush on since law school…and who happens to be Darcy’s fiancé. In the frantic weeks leading up to Darcy’s wedding, Rachel finds herself caught between her long-time friendship with Darcy and the prospect of losing the love of her life. Based on Emily Giffin’s bestseller, this funny and touching romantic comedy also stars John Krasinski as Rachel’s constant confidante and conscience, who busily evades the affection of one of Darcy’s lovestruck friends while harboring a secret crush of his own. Chick-lit lovers, and those who love them, will flock to Something Bor! rowed, a frothy adaptation of Emily Giffin's bestselling novel. Something Borrowed itself borrows some of the best bits from earlier romantic comedies like When Harry Met Sally…, 27 Dresses, and Sex and the City. Though Kate Hudson is the ostensible Big Star here, it's Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love, He's Just Not That into You) who finally comes into her own as a winsome leading lady. The plot is fairly simple: Rachel (Goodwin) harbors secret feelings for Dex (Colin Egglesfield), the fiancé of her best friend, Darcy (Hudson). Along for the ride, and acting as a sort of stage manager/narrator à la Our Town, is Ethan (John Krasinski), who just may be harboring some secret longings of his own. Will the right boys end up with the right girls? Well, Something Borrowed is one of those comfy films in which the viewer knows who's right for whom long before the characters do. And because of the light, easy direction of Luk! e Greenfield (whose previous works are mostly TV movies and se! ries), a nd the sparky chemistry among the stars, Something Borrowed ends up delivering a delicious snack even more satisfying than the sum of its yummy parts. Krasinski, Egglesfield, and especially Goodwin shine in this ensemble, and fans of modern love stories--with a twist--will want to hold on to Something Borrowed. --A.T. HurleyMatthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson go for the gold (and the diamonds, emeralds and rubies) as a just-divorced couple who bicker and banter their way through an adventure- and laugh-packed undersea treasure hunt. McConaughey is Finn, in love with his ex (Hudson) and in deep with gangster Bigg Bunny. After eight years of searching, Finn gets a clue to the whereabouts of the Queen’s Dowry, a fabulous fortune that mysteriously disappeared in the Caribbean in 1715. Now all he has to do is get the gold, get the girl and get going before Bigg Bunny gets him. Directed by Andy Tennant (Hitch), Fool’s Gold glitters with danger, action, rom! ance, comedy, great one-liners â€" and a great time to be had by all!The "gold" of the title refers to an elusive pirate's booty, but it just as easily could mean the sun-washed glistening shores of Florida, or the sumptuously tanned bodies of its appealing stars, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. The whole film is awash in golden highlights, and the scenery and cinematography make the experience akin to taking a tropical holiday. Hudson and McConaughey reprise the chemistry they first exhibited in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, sparking and tangling and kvetching, while all the while the audience knows, of course, they adore each other and are perfect for each other. McConaughey is a dreamer, on the trail of a sunken pirate's treasure, and Hudson his now-ex-wife, a historian who prefers life to be a little more sedate. McConaughey, as Finn, delivers impassioned speeches to Hudson, as Tess, saying, "You want history? It's in the ocean, lady!" Before you can say ! Romancing the Stone, Tess and Finn are grudgingly reunited! in sear ch of the booty. If the plot doesn't contain many surprises, the froth of the stars' chemistry is amiable and makes for a perfect date movie. Scuba divers may find McConaughey's antics below the surface to be wildly unbelievable and usually fatal, but in the end viewers will root for him to surface, and recapture the heart of his lady love. --A.T. Nearing Grace is an edgy, provocative film which showcases the trials and tribulations a teenage boy experiences while coming of age. Jordana Brewster plays the ultra sexy, most sought after girl in school who lures Henry Nearing, played by David Morse, into her world and ultimately fulfills his fantasy! But at what price?Sultry crime boss Lucy Diamond (Jordana Brewster, The Fast and the Furious) is back in the states and the D.E.B.S.- an elite team of paramilitary college co-ed superspies- are hot on her trail. But when their top agent, gorgeous Amy Bradshaw (Sara Foster, The Big Bounce), mysteriously disappears after coming face to face with the attractive young villainess, the D.E.B.S. begin a full-scale search for Lucy's secret lair, never suspecting that Amy may not want to be rescu! ed after all, in this smart and sexy spy spoof about love at first gun sight. You can say this about D.E.B.S.: director Angela Robinson’s 2005 feature isn’t very good, but it is surprisingly entertaining. The premise, which bears a passing resemblance to any number of previous films (from Heathers and Clueless to Charlie’s Angels and the Austin Powers franchise), involves a secret government agency recruiting young women as spies, based on their smarts, their ability to lie convincingly, and the fact that they look fetching in ultra-miniskirts. Four of the D.E.B.S. are then charged with collaring "criminal mastermind" Lucy Diamond (Jordana Brewster), who has returned to the States after hatching all manner of nefarious plots overseas. Then comes the twist: Diamond is gay, and one of our heroines, Amy Bradshaw (Sara Foster), unexpectedly finds herself falling in love with her. Out goes the espionage element; in comes the love story, ! and therein lies the surprise, as this burgeoning lesbian rela! tionship is handled with unexpected sympathy, even tenderness. Sure, the acting, even by veteran grownups like Holland Taylor and Michael Clarke Duncan, is almost uniformly lame, and the script is silly; overall, the film would have to put on considerable weight to even be considered frothy. Still, D.E.B.S. isn’t a bad way to kill a couple of hours. DVD bonus features include a making-of featurette and commentary by Robinson and the cast. --Sam GrahamINVISIBLE CIRCUS - DVD MovieAn affecting movie about ghosts and illusions, The Invisible Circus follows Phoebe (Jordana Brewster), an American girl who's retracing the path of her sister Faith (Cameron Diaz), hoping to discover what led to Faith's mysterious death. Using the postcards that Faith sent her from Europe as a map, Phoebe travels from Amsterdam to Paris to Portugal, learning from Faith's ex-boyfriend Wolf (Christopher Eccleston) about a side of Faith that Phoebe knew nothing about--a side that ove! rturns all of Phoebe's cherished beliefs about her sister and herself. The performances in The Invisible Circus are uneven, and yet the culmination of the movie captures something piercingly sad, something acute and evocative about how survivors create myths about the lost, myths that can both help and hinder their lives. Blythe Danner plays the mother of the two girls in a brief but subtly powerful performance. --Bret FetzerNew issue featuring Jordana Brewster. Also, 25 Best gadgets control the world from your couch; Orgasm of the Month Club; in the octagon with georges st-pierre; Dorm room drug lordsThis hip and edgy thriller from the director of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN and the writer of SCREAM and SCREAM 2 sizzles with a hot young cast including Elijah Wood (THE LORD OF THE RINGS Trilogy), Josh Hartnett (PEARL HARBOR), and R&B superstar Usher Raymond! When some very creepy things start happening around school, the kids at Herrington High make a chilling discovery that confirms their worst suspicions: their teachers really are from another planet! As mind-controlling parasites rapidly begin spreading from the faculty to the students' bodies, it's ultimately up to the few who are left -- an unlikely collection of loners, leaders, nerds, and jocks -- to save the world from alien domination! Also starring Robert Patrick (TERMINATOR 2), Famke Janssen (X-MEN), and Jon Stewart (TV's THE DAILY SHOW) in a great cast -- don't miss the unstoppa! ble excitement of this unpredictably smart and scary hit!Okay, you knew everyone in high school was just a little different: everyone looked at you strangely, the teachers were freaky, and you never could find the right groove to fit into. What if it turned out that it was all because your school was inhabited by creepy aliens from outer space? That's the enjoyably cheesy B-premise for this fun and scary flick from the pen of Scream's Kevin Williamson, the master of the post-modern teen horror film. Directed by Robert Rodriguez (El Mariachi), it's The Breakfast Club meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers, as six disparate students from Herrington High School band together when they discover that an alien life form is invading both the student and faculty bodies, with plans to take over the world.

Each of the heroes represents a different high school type: popular babe (Jordana Brewster), picked-on geek (Elijah Wood), goth girl (Clea DuVall), se! nsitive jock (Shawn Hatosy), new kid in town (Laura Harris), a! nd bad-b oy rebel (Josh Hartnett). The plot isn't much--a basic kill-or-be-killed premise spiked with a healthy shot of paranoia--but Willliamson and Rodriguez do a great job of building the tension slowly but surely. The suspense set pieces are genuinely frightening, and the film pokes fun at itself without deflating its scares; Williamson is a master at shifting gears from comedy to horror quickly and adroitly. The young cast doesn't have a weak link among them (with special kudos to Wood, DuVall and heartthrob-in-the-making Hartnett), and Rodriguez gets maximum mileage from the titular faculty, which includes Jon Stewart, Piper Laurie, Salma Hayek, Bebe Neuwirth, and Robert Patrick of Terminator 2. Go to the head of the class, Mr. Williamson. --Mark EnglehartFilled with intense action, ANNAPOLIS is an inspirational tale of courage and honor that will keep you riveted. As hard as it is to get into the most elite military academy in the country, surviving behind its ! walls is beyond belief. Young Jake Huard (James Franco) has always known he has what it takes to make the grade. But once inside, everything Jake thought he knew is challenged in ways he never could have imagined. Standing between him and his lifelong ambition of becoming an officer in the U.S. Navy is his company commander -- Midshipman Lt. Cole (Tyrese Gibson), a relentless and merciless battle-seasoned Marine. Thrilling and exhilarating, ANNAPOLIS reaffirms the power of believing in your dreams.A boxing movie done up in Naval Academy drag, Annapolis stars James Franco (Spider-Man, Tristan & Isolde) as Jake Huard, a shipbuilder's son who wants to prove to his father--and to himself--that he can cut it as a Naval officer. But at the Academy he runs afoul of a hard-nosed training officer named Cole (Tyrese Gibson, Four Brothers), who does all he can to drive Huard out of the school. They end up settling their differences in the boxing ring during the Ac! ademy's annual competition. Annapolis is a bundle of cl! iches, f rom Huard's interracial mix of roommates to the lessons he learns about teamwork, but it's an efficient and vigorous bundle of cliches. Director Justin Lin (Better Luck Tomorrow) keeps the pace swift and the visuals snappy, particularly in the boxing scenes. Franco and Gibson work hard to outdo each other's burning gazes; both are handsome men of modest acting talent, but they suit their roles reasonably well. Also featuring Jordana Brewster (The Fast and the Furious), Donnie Wahlberg (Saw II), and the always charming Chi McBride (Roll Bounce). --Bret Fetzer

ALWAYS - DVD MovieConsidered by many to represent a low point in Steven Spielberg's career, 1990's Always did suggest something of a temporary drift in the director's sensibility. A remake of the classic Spencer Tracy film A Guy Named Joe, Always stars Richard Dreyfuss as a Forest Service pilot who takes great risks with his own life to douse wildfires from a plane. After promising his frightened fiancée (Holly Hunter) to keep his feet on the ground and go into teaching, Dreyfuss's character is killed during one last flight. But his spirit wanders restlessly, hopelessly atta! ched to and possessive of Hunter, who can't see or hear him. Then the real conflict begins: a trainee pilot (Brad Johnson), a likable doofus, begins wooing a not-unappreciative Hunter--and it becomes Dreyfuss's heavenly mandate to accept, and even assist in, their budding romance. The trouble with the film is a certain airlessness, a hyper-inventiveness in every scene and sequence that screams of Spielberg's self-education in Hollywood classicism. Unlike the masters he is constantly quoting and emulating in Always, he forgets to back off and let the movie breathe on its own sometimes, which would better serve his clockwork orchestration of suspense and comedy elsewhere. Still, there are lovely passages in this film, such as the unforgettable look on Dreyfuss's face a half-second before fate claims him. John Goodman contributes good supporting work, and Audrey Hepburn makes her final screen appearance as an angel. --Tom KeoghThis is a great HAND-SIGNE! D 8x10 photo! They bring messages from heaven to us mortals here on earth. Angels may bring t! idings of great joy or urgent warnings; their messages may be musical or may be communicated in the smiles of cherubic babies. Their images resonate with innocence and grandeur, beauty and awe. Their powerful wings enable them to fly far above our earthly struggles yet they can swoop down to save us. Angels speak through human beings, and some would even say there are angels in our midst. Among Angels celebrates the human angels -- all around us -- who inspire us by bringing us peace and tranquility, innocence and joy, hope and love. Like the prequel, Open Hearts, this book will include a personal foreword and art by Jane Seymour, quotes from literature, spiritual texts, and personal stories that honor the importance of the angels among us.

Unlike the countless books that try to explain what went wrong in Africa, Africa The Good News looks at what is going right. It gives voice to Africans and (non-Africans) who have a different story to tell to the commonplace one of hopelessness: it tells the tale of the African dream becoming the reality. It explains why a growing number of investors, journalists, and academics are starting to look at Africa differently and describe the continent as one of growth and opportunity and not just of diseases and despair. At the same time, it does not shy away from what still needs to happen for the 21st century to indeed be Africa's. The book explains where Africa is today economically, socially, and politically, where it is planning to go,! and its position in a global world. It looks at the business opportunities, challenges, and success stories on the continent, the continent s natural wealth and the potential of this wealth to bring prosperity to its people. Importantly, it investigates what is being done and what needs to be done to address the continent s many challenges from leadership to poverty, and the need to rebrand Africa. It will describe Africa as you have never seen it before...Our stretched canvas wall art reproductions are created in Oopsy daisy's San Diego studios where we print in the best digital method currently available, achieving great clarity and color resolution in each piece. After printing, the canvas is stretched by hand over a wood frame. The sides of the canvas include a decorative edge, so no framing is required. In 1959 South Korea was mired in poverty. By 1979 it had a powerful industrial economy and a vibrant civil society in the making, which would lead to a democratic breakthrough eight years later. The transformation took place during the years of Park Chung Hee’s presidency. Park seized power in a coup in 1961 and ruled as a virtual dictator until his assassination in October 1979. He is credited with modernizing South Korea, but at a huge political and social cost.

South Korea’s politic! al landscape under Park defies easy categorization. The state was predatory yet technocratic, reform-minded yet quick to crack down on dissidents in the name of political order. The nation was balanced uneasily between opposition forces calling for democratic reforms and the Park government’s obsession with economic growth. The chaebol (a powerful conglomerate of multinationals based in South Korea) received massive government support to pioneer new growth industries, even as a nationwide campaign of economic shock therapyâ€"interest hikes, devaluation, and wage cutsâ€"met strong public resistance and caused considerable hardship.

This landmark volume examines South Korea’s era of development as a study in the complex politics of modernization. Drawing on an extraordinary range of sources in both English and Korean, these essays recover and contextualize many of the ambiguities in South Korea’s trajectory from poverty to a sustainable high rate of economic growt! h.
